Are mini shin pads legal?
Law 4 of the IFAB Laws of the Game, 2026/27 edition, says nothing about a minimum size in centimetres: it asks for shin guards covered by the socks, made of a suitable material and of an appropriate size to give reasonable protection, and makes the player responsible for their size.
